Porter Crag Messenger Bag (M) – Coyote (540-19708-40)

Part of the PORTER CRAG series, this messenger bag is defined by its distinctive texture and deep color created through a special product-dyeing process. The fabric is PORTER’s original back satin, woven at high density from a blend of nylon and cotton.

To properly dye the mixed fibers, a “two-bath dyeing” technique is used, applying two different dye solutions in sequence. After dyeing, the fabric is dried to produce a firm structure and unique texture. Because the bag is dyed after construction, subtle variations in color, wrinkles, and shrinkage occur, giving each piece its own character.

The series reflects the textile expertise developed in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture—an area known for its strong textile industry—while using an environmentally conscious dyeing process.

Despite its rugged appearance, the bag remains lightweight and offers excellent storage capacity. A large exterior pocket takes advantage of the bag’s depth for easy access, while nylon tape with tension stitching reinforces the bottom, helping the bag keep its shape and stand upright.

The medium messenger size offers a versatile unisex format suitable for everyday use. The flap can be adjusted in two stages depending on the amount of luggage, and a top handle allows the bag to be carried by hand when needed.
