Pendleton Jacquard Napped Robe Harding Navy – ZD421 53949
One of Pendleton’s most enduring and recognisable designs, the Harding pattern dates back to 1923, when President Warren G. Harding and First Lady Florence Harding visited the West to commemorate part of the historic Oregon Trail. At the ceremony, local tribal leaders presented Florence Harding with a Pendleton shawl inspired by the famed Chief Joseph blanket. The bold geometric motif became an immediate success and remains in production today.
This jacquard napped robe is woven from USA-made wool at Pendleton’s Oregon mill. The surface is napped for a softer hand feel, then finished with felt-bound edges for durability and a clean finish. A true heritage piece that combines historical significance with practical warmth.
