Original 6-pocket pants made of high-gauge cotton ripstop fabric. Just as Japanese people used to customize, repair, and reinforce their own work clothes in the past, Samurai Jeans have added double-knees and hip patches, and have also adopted specifications to reinforce load-bearing areas where the pants would normally be stressed. They have also changed up the side pockets, keeping them flat while still ensuring they have lots of room for all of your stuff. These have a deep rise and a slightly relaxed straight silhouette.

This original “kasezome” fabric is hand-dyed at the yarn stage and is characterized by its thickness, stiffness, and bumpy appearance and texture. This was achieved by in-depth research and detailed discussions on everything from thread count to fabric density. A ripstop weave is known to increase the strength of the fabric and make it resistant to tearing, allowing you to enjoy the unique fading and aging of the beautiful indigo for years to come. Please note that due to the nature of the hand-dyeing process, there may be variations in color between the threads.

Note also that, again due to the hand-dyed nature of the yarn, color may fade and transfer when wet from sweat or rain. There is also a possibility of the color transferring to other clothing if it is rubbed up against it strongly.
