Sugar Cane's Japanese-made Hickory Stripe Work Pants is based on American workers' clothing from the 1940s. Clear lines, functional details and a construction designed for durability.

Made from a durable 11 oz hickory stripe fabric, woven on traditional shuttle looms. The dark stripes are dyed with indigo using the rope-dye process and develop a patina similar to denim over time.

The distinctive pattern was originally worn by the US Navy and quickly found its way into civilian workwear. It provided better visibility –for example on railway tracks or between machines– and thus became an integral part of classic workwear.
