Studio d'Artisan 45Th Anniversay 13oz Ishikawa Tapered Jeans (SP-086)
"Ishikawadai'' is a ring spinning machine that was manufactured by Ishikawa Seisakusho Co., Ltd. in 1953 and is the oldest spinning spinning machine in operation in Japan. Because it is spun slowly, there is less stress on the cotton, which retains its natural gentle texture, creating an uneven feel similar to hand-spinning. The indigo dyeing of the warp threads does not affect the unique texture of this cotton, and the process of refining the threads that is normally done is omitted, and the indigo dyeing is uneven, similar to vintage denim of the time. The entire process is intentionally low-tech to recreate the look of 1953 denim. These jeans are designed for the next generation of vintage wear.
