The name Haisy Mae sounds like it was plucked straight from an old American folk song — playful, nostalgic, and full of character. Indigofera chose it for good reason: this bucket hat reflects the timeless workwear silhouettes worn by American farmers, railroad workers, and craftsmen throughout the first half of the twentieth century, reimagined through Scandinavian design and Japanese craftsmanship.

Made in Japan from a 10oz rinsed ecru denim, the fabric showcases the natural character of unbleached cotton with its soft, organic tone and visible weave. The rinse treatment enhances comfort from the very first wear while preserving the fabric's structure and allowing it to develop an individual patina over time. A wide brim offers reliable protection from the sun and can easily be flipped up for a different look. The six-panel construction ensures a comfortable, well-balanced fit, while the signature Union Ticket label and contrasting seam taping inside pay tribute to classic garment-making traditions.
