Indigofera Durango Pants Prima Stripe – Coalbone (812-5101-019)

Indigofera's Durango Pants are made from a Japanese striped selvedge twill in dark charcoal. The fine light stripes on the dark green background echo the tradition of American hickory stripe and ticking fabrics, which have existed since the late 19th century, were used in workwear in the century and are particularly associated with American Railroad workwear.

Hickory Stripe evolved from the tradition of the robust ticking fabric and became a signature fabric for American workwear. The striped surface also had a practical use: dirt and signs of wear were less noticeable on the pattern than on a solid-colored fabric.
