Joe McCoy MP23005 Civilian Shorts / Late War - Tiger Camouflage
The TIGER CAMOUFLAGE CIVILIAN SHORTS / LATE WAR are a reproduction of Vietnam war-era U.S. Special camouflage shorts.
Tiger Camouflage was developed in the 1950s, intended for use in close-quarters jungle warfare, it disguised and distorted the appearance of its wearer’s body in the bush. Its effectiveness made it the preferred uniform patterning of choice among special operators, but members of all branches of the U.S. Military wore this distinct tiger striping throughout the Vietnam war. Military use of this camouflage ended with the war, but tiger camo remains to be worn in rugged casual militaria.
Using authentic methods of printing, the Tiger Camouflage is meticulously applied by hand on era-accurate cotton-blend fabric to create an all-over pattern.
These shorts are constructed in a light weight Cotton-Blend fabric, complete with dual slash entry hip pockets, flat fell seam construction, keyhole buttonhole fastening, belt loops, contrasting Urea button fly, spacious dual button-closure flap cargo pockets for gear, and dual gusseted button-closing flap pockets on the backside.
