Red Wing 8000 Iron Ranger – Oro Legacy

The Red Wing 8000 Iron Ranger is a 6-inch work boot inspired by the iron miners of Northern Minnesota, known as “Iron Rangers.” The style is defined by its distinctive double leather toe cap, which adds an extra layer of protection and gives the Iron Ranger its characteristic appearance. This version is made from Oro Legacy oil-tanned leather, a leather based on the material used for Irish Setter boots in the 1970s. Oro Legacy develops a distinctive patina with wear, with natural marks and changes in colour becoming part of the boot's character.

The boot is built with a Goodyear welt and nailed heel, combining the full-grain leather upper with a Vibram 430 lug outsole. The No. 8 last has a bump toe and a comparatively wider fit, allowing more room for the toes than Red Wing's Moc Toe models. The 8000 is finished with yellow/tan round Taslan laces and is made in Red Wing, Minnesota, USA.
