Samurai Jeans Repen Inlay Hanging T-Shirt – Concrete Grey (SJST26-106)

This T-shirt is made from aged cotton that has been knitted inlay using a suspension knitting machine.

By slowly aging the compressed cotton, which is transported in clumps, in a temperature- and humidity-controlled room for 30～50 days, it becomes possible to restore the naturally plump cotton fibers.

It uses a special yarn made from spun cotton and is freshly knitted on a hanging knitting machine in Wakayama. Normally, it is said that only 1m of yarn can be knitted per hour, making it a labor-intensive hanging knitting machine. However, if you continue to knit inlays with a high gauge while taking advantage of the characteristics of this yarn, you will only be able to knit about 48cm per hour.

Although the fabric is inefficient and cannot be made in large quantities, the resulting hanging knitted fabric is soft and moist to the touch, and is thicker than Tenjiku, making it difficult to stretch. The silhouette is also taken into consideration, and the knitting is done using a hanging knitting machine, but the sides are split open.
