Viberg Service Boot Unlined - Black Chromexcel
The timeless design and rugged durability of the Stitchdown Service Boot are synonymous with the Viberg brand and have been since 1931.
Chromexcel, known for its unique pull-up, has been produced by Horween for over 100 years. The recipe involves chrome and vegetable tanning and requires 89 individual steps and a minimum of 28 days to complete. The result is an incredibly durable leather with a refined & rugged finish that gets better with age.
Horween Leather Company has been producing its proprietary Chromexcel tannage, famous for its patina, since 1905. The secret to this chrome & vegetable tannage lies in the recipe of wax, oils, and greases infused into the leather that moves with wear to produce a unique pull-up.

Ed’s original pattern closely resembled the standard issue military boot, common to many Allied countries during WW2. They at Viberg have since reworked the original pattern to find the perfect balance on the foot.
