Sugar Cane Sun Surf “Japanese Quaint Design” LS Rayon Hawaiian Shirt – Gray (SS29604-115)

The artwork is inspired by melting snow and features auspicious patterns such as snow rings and fans, which are meant to pray for a good harvest, and strong oriental motifs such as carp, horses, and cranes are scattered throughout the shirt. These designs, which had been used on kimonos and other items even before the Aloha shirts were invented, were very popular in Hawaii in the 1950s. This album was produced by Liberty House, a long-established department store in Hawaii that was one of the first to create trends at the time with a product lineup that incorporated trends from the times.
