We always really liked what our Copenhagen friends from Hansen Garments produce because of their unique style and delicate fabrics. And we always get what we expect. But what happened now is even better.
There is a new fabric for this season - Black Hemp. The fabric is made from natural hemp and cotton. The weaving method is quite special, as it constantly changes between plain and twill weave with dyed cotton in the weft and natural hemp in the warp. The fabric is heavy and it feels like it is clinging to the body and at the same time it is surprisingly airy and cool, even for the summer days.
This fabric is used on 3-piece combo as they do usually in Hansen: jacket, vest and trousers.
Jacket is not just another Hansen jacket, this new style for this spring is a Scarecrow,
This kimono-inspired look derives from traditional clothing used by farmers that was tailored to save fabric while creating a practical garment. An item of clothing that would allow flexibility and comfort throughout the day.
With Hansen's own novel approach, they reimagined this garment from simple farmer's clothing into an elaborate suit-piece that will grab attention whenever you decide to dress up. Thanks to the airy and comfortable fabrics used to make this garment not just a piece of clothing, you'll feel like you're wearing an experience.
Ben is the 5-button waistcoat with a crew neck. It has an inner pocket and two patched-on lower front pockets.
Another brand new style is Trygve. It is a pair of loosely fitted, slightly tapered and slightly cropped, trousers. It comes with two slanted front pockets and two patched on back pockets. The side seams are slightly twisted, providing an organic shape from the knee down.
