Studio d'Artisan for spring 2021
This is a brand with more than 40 years of history. We like their approach to design of their garments (obviously also fabrics and overall quality). In this drop we received some interesting (and entertaining) tops.
The pig is a key animal thru all the SDA collections. But, there is a teeshirt where the pigs are missing..
There is another tee design which was heavily inspired by the one the first (in)famous punk band and their record "Never Mind the Bollocks".
Both teeshirts are made of US cotton, it is very thick and robust fabric and the prints are precisely made too. Prints are on chest and on the back. These tees will last veeery long.
Then, there is a new printed raglan tee, the pigs having a friendship over a custom motorcycle. The back print is with some heavy statement. Do you dare?
Another cup of tea: the Railroad Hickory Vest (4515) is a reminder of good ol' days on the rail road in 1940s. Made of 10oz japanese hickory fabric, it looks vintage even when brand new. We like the brass "Union Made" buttons too.
The most amazing pice of this drop is Noragi Sashiko Shirt (5651). It is made from a proprietary jacquard weave featuring various fabrics and a vertical/horizontal Sashiko stitch running through out. Truly special shirt.
