Pendleton - shirts and Big Lebowski knit
The Pendleton blankets are signature pieces of this Oregon based brand. They started to make them already in the 19th century. Then they started to produce them in Pendleton Woolen Mills in the early 1900s. We talked a lot about those iconic blankets HERE.
Another icon for Pendleton is Wool Plaid Shirt. It became a common garment after World War II, for the moments when the men were not wearing suit. But in the 60s those shirt became really famous because of the raising surf scene in California. The very popular band Beach Boys was originally called "The Pendletons". The wool shirt became a part of the surfing culture and since then these shirts became a part of everyday's life for the people around the world. We can highly recommend these shirts not only for colder months.
Next very famous piece from Pendleton is The Original Westerley knit. It debuted in 1972 but it became a real classic when Dude wore that in a famous Big Lebowski movie. Jeff Bridges' brought that from his own wardrobe (like most of the clothing he wore in the movie). You do not need to smoke joints like Dude to be cool.
