Blanket Lined Denim Jackets
We absolutely love denim jackets! There is no doubt about that.
For the colder months, there was an invention of blanket lined denim jackets many years ago (end of 1940s) for all of us living in the part of planet where winter could be cold. As a great help to keep the wearer's body warm there was a blanket lining added. And also the corduroy (or later) leather collar against chafing was included. The most famous was probably Storm Rider made by Lee. It could be seen in a lot of movies and was worn by many famous people of its time.
The iconic Lee Storm Rider Jacket was an obvious inspiration to some of the later brands. We could offer you the versions from Studio d'Artisan and Iron Heart. They are made of different denims and have different lining fabrics. Also there is an option to have or not to have hand warmer pockets. Both jackets are Made in Japan by renowned companies which guarantees the best quality.
Another great piece inspired by Storm Rider Jacket is a Ginew Thunderbird Coat. Anything from this brand is special. As this Jacket. The lining is made by Pendleton and the design is custom made for Ginew with a reflection to their roots. The collar is made from the deer skin. The deer was hunted by Ginew people! Everything (components, fabrics, sewing etc.) on this jacket is Made in USA.
Last but not least is a Fargo Rider Jacket from our friends Indigofera. It is not inspired by Storm Rider but it is signature style of our friend from this Swedish brand. In this case the denim is Japanese No.9 and it is sewn together in Portugal.
And that was the travel around the world with such a thing as a blanket lined denim jacket. Choose yours and you will not regret for many many years while the jacket will keep you warm when cold outside.
